Head of Presales

We are seeking an experienced Head of Presales with a strong background in Telco and Cloud IT to join a dynamic, regional industry-leading Telecommunications business. This role will be based in their Riyadh office. As Head of Presales, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of 20 Presales Architects, designing, scoping and selling IT & ICT solutions that meet the evolving customers needs. 
 
You will work directly with vendors such as AWS, Microsoft and GCP and in-house teams to position cloud IT & ICT solutions to customers. The services will include app modernisation, re-platforming, integration works (API, enterprise service bus etc.) and working with the big data, cyber security and digital teams to provide services along with their solutions. 
 
Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 20 Presales Architects, motivate, coach, guide them to success and promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architecture solutions based on industry best practices and organisational requirements.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and monitoring solutions for continuous deployment and delivery.
• Work with the cyber security teams to design modern application security solutions and APM on cloud.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and developers to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and document architecture decisions and solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience (minimum 10 years) as an Enterprise Cloud Architect or a similar role, with a focus on designing and implementing cloud IT & ICT solutions.
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Head of Presales, or a similar role.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including proficiency in cloud-native services, networking, and security.
• Experience with application modernization techniques, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Candidates with existing relationships with vendors and customers in market is preferred.
