Senior Azure Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Azure Solutions Architect with a strong background in DevOps and application modernisation to join a dynamic, multi-national, industry-leading Cloud IT Systems Integrator based in their Riyadh office. As Senior Azure Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, scoping and selling brownfield cloud solutions that meet evolving customer needs. 
 
You will work directly with vendors and in-house teams to position cloud native development solutions to customers. The services will include app modernisation, re-platforming, integration works (API, enterprise service bus etc.) and working with the big data, cyber security and digital teams to provide cloud native services along with their solutions. 
 
Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architecture solutions based on industry best practices and organisational requirements.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and monitoring solutions for continuous deployment and delivery.
• Lead efforts to evangelise modernising legacy applications by migrating them to cloud-native architectures, leveraging containerisation, micro-services, and server-less technologies.
• Work with the cyber security teams to design modern application security solutions and APM on cloud.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and developers to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and document architecture decisions and solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and teams, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Solutions Architect, with a focus on designing and implementing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions, including proficiency in cloud-native services, networking, and security.
• Strong background in DevOps practices, including automation, configuration management, and version control.
• Experience with application modernisation techniques, container orchestration, and serverless computing.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and familiarity with programming languages is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Candidates with existing relationships with vendors and customers in market is preferred.
