Director, Data Intelligence

We are looking to hire a Director, Data Intelligence to join a dynamic, multinational industry-leading Cloud IT Systems integrator based in their Dubai office.
 
As Director, Data Intelligence, you will manage a team with data mindset and deep industry domain expertise, engaging with clients to understand their business challenges and create data solutions that address their unique requirements.
 
Responsibilities:

• Define the Data Analytics GTM strategy and develop industry value propositions
• Identify and manage data alliances and strategic partnerships
• Plan and execute the data products roadmap (IPs)
• Engage with clients to understand their business challenges and conceptualise data solutions (data intelligence)
• Work closely with the Data Science and Data Enablement teams to ensure clear understanding of clients’ business objectives and data solution requirements, as well as effective delivery of client engagements
• Work closely with Country Managers and Sales team to provide pre-sales support for data solutions (including sales enablement, client facing activities, proposals, bid management)
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of and interest in data analytics solutions, as well as great comfort communicating the concepts and value of data-related value propositions to clients and internal stakeholders
• Develop data products roadmap (IPs); coordinate and contribute to the development of data products along with the Data Science team
• Design and conduct proof of concepts with clients as well as carry out financial analysis (business cases) of data use cases as applicable    
• Manage live data products (P&L, product enhancements, etc.)
• Manage the data analytics sales pipeline
• Manage and upscale a team of data consultants, data analysts, business analysts and product owners

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience leading Business Analytics teams and/or equivalent
• Strong sector domain expertise (at least in one sector – with a preference for Telco/ICT, Banking and Financial Services, Retail)
• Ability to translate business challenges into technical requirements, and discover effective solutions to complex business problems with data mindset
• Strong business development skills, and experience of working with cross functional and technical teams
• Ability to break the problem into smaller problems and think of relevant methodologies which can be explored & used to cater to those
• Experience working on Data Analytics overall projects (i.e., Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Monetization, Data Science, Data Visualization etc.)
• Strong knowledge in at least one data domain (i.e., Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Monetization, Data Science, Data Modelling, Data Visualization)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
