Head of Consulting, DevOps

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Consulting, DevOps to join a large, industry-leading Cloud IT Systems Integrator, based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft DevOps tools and practices, a strong technical background, and excellent customer-facing and solution sales skills. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire DevOps lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of software solutions while meeting the needs of our clients.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside a team of DevOps Engineers, Presales Architects, Business Development, and Delivery Experts.
• Develop and implement DevOps strategies, processes, and best practices to streamline development and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with leadership to align DevOps initiatives with the company’s overall business objectives.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Microsoft Azure DevOps tools.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the development infrastructure.
• Work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to automate and optimise the software delivery process.
• Engage with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Present and demonstrate DevOps solutions to customers, providing insights and recommendations based on best practices.
• Act as a technical advisor to customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
• Monitor and analyse the performance of DevOps processes, identifying areas for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and tools, integrating them into the DevOps strategy as appropriate.
• Contribute towards a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

  
Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on Microsoft DevOps tools and practices.
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud services (preferably Microsoft Azure).
• In-depth knowledge of DevOps methodologies and tools, including Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles, automation, and cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with security best practices in DevOps.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand customer needs and propose appropriate solutions.
• Experience in working directly with clients, understanding their business requirements, and translating them into actionable DevOps strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
